Lab
Experiments, utilities and one-offs. Most run on my own hardware; some turned into the bigger projects, some were just worth finding out.

Claude Code as a level designer
I reverse-engineered Timberborn’s .timber map format (a zipped 3D voxel grid) into about 7,000 lines of Python, then gave Claude Code a skill for it, so it could build playable maps from a prompt: pyramid fields, a type specimen carved in grass, stone and water, canals that actually flow. Every format rule is tagged by how well it’s proven, from measured to refuted, because the costly bugs were assumptions that had quietly hardened into facts. The same toolkit shapes AI art into spec-correct in-game banners and murals.

vidBridge
A usable local web app for making short AI films: GLM-5.1 turns a one-line spark into a storyboard, Qwen paints start and end frames, WAN 2.2 bridges them into clips, and a vision model reads each last frame to write the next shot. You direct camera, pacing and lighting per scene, then stitch and 4× upscale to an export, all through ComfyUI and Ollama.

theCollection
My creative workspace: a burnsAI persona built from my own writing going back to 1991, the Dreamharvest world-building and audiobook pipeline, and a small CLI for Google’s Imagen, Veo and Lyria models.

BaconDay
The event platform for an annual December 30 cook-off, grown from a 2024 PHP voting page into a full 2025 app: RSVPs and invites, dish registration, phone voting by QR code, live trivia, big-screen display modes and a movie night. Guests type a one-line idea and Gemini writes the recipe while Imagen 4 plates it; after the party, the analytics tell the story of the night.
